Indogma Film Festival 2023
Day 1: December 13, 2023
The Indogma Film Festival 2023, organized by JC Bose University’s Department of Communication and Media Technology in collaboration with Cinemehta Productions, kicked off at the university auditorium. The opening ceremony featured a traditional lamp-lighting, with Advocate Panjanya Batra delivering the keynote address. The event began with a performance of Ganpati Vandana by Kundan Global students, followed by a warm welcome to the chief guest, Vice Chancellor Sushil Kumar Tomar. Chandan Mehta, the festival’s Director, expressed gratitude for the collaboration’s positive impact. The screening of selected films included the highly praised “Jaggu Ki Lalten,” directed by Neeraj Gupta. Dr. Manjeet Singh, Chairperson of the Computer Applications Department, highlighted filmmakers’ progress, emphasizing continuous learning’s value, adding depth to the festival’s message. Dr. Pawan Singh Malik, CMT department Chairperson, extended heartfelt wishes, recognizing Faridabad’s rich culture and its significant contribution to the cinematic landscape.
Day 2: December 15, 2023
Day two witnessed the inauguration of the festival with distinguished guests, including J.P. Nagar, Lakhan Singla, Dharmveer Khatana, and BJP leader Thakur Shailendra Singh. World-renowned magician C.P. Yadav left the audience astonished with his magical skills. The film screenings included thought-provoking works like “The Short,” “Karma Bhoomi Kurukshetra,” and the impactful short film “Left Out.” An animation film, “Persistence,” by Roshan from Bihar, inspired by a road accident, was also showcased.
Day 3: December 16, 2023
The third day featured the screening of the animated film “I Am Made for Space,” celebrating space traveler Kalpana Chawla’s story of inspiration for women. The film “Foreign,” an Indo-English production, was presented, followed by a workshop on film production by Deepa Mishra, Creative Brand Designer of NFDC. Chandan Mehta, Mukesh Gambhir, and other luminaries graced the occasion.
Day 4: December 17, 2023
Day four began with the screening of “Once Upon a Time in Lahore,” depicting the pain of two friends during the 1947 riots. English films like “The Relapse,” “Nest,” and “Thanks Mom” were also showcased. The event featured a workshop on film production addressed by Mike Berry and motivational words from Mukesh Gambhir. The challenges faced by the transgender community were discussed with Mother Bhawani Kinnar Akhada’s head.
Day 5: December 18, 2023




The much-anticipated final day brought together participants who eagerly awaited the results of their hard work. The red carpet welcomed all participants, and chief guest Mike Berry and special guest Renuka Panwar added glamour to the event. Chandan Mehta, the festival director, expressed gratitude to his companions and sponsors. The closing ceremony included a review of main films and the presentation of awards to 40 out of the 160 entries.
